Invest in a System That Give You Control of Your Entire Atlanta Home

Home security and surveillance systems are in over 100 million homes in the US.   If properly installed and used regularly, they can be there for you when you really need it.  Many people, however, either have a system that doesn’t protect as well as it should, or they aren’t even using it!  Also, your alarm can be used for controlling all the things in your Atlanta, Georgia home.   When you’re not at home, today’s security systems allow you to check in from your hotel room to make sure things are still in order.

The Canton Theatre

A few years ago, I watched my crew do one of the most exciting things that we as a company have ever done, a bit of a variation on our usual home theater installations.  We installed a state of the art audio and video system in the Downtown Canton Theatre.

Finding Equipment that Matches Up With Your Style

This month, I’d like to share my knowledge on one of the most overlooked accessories to any great TV system, speakers.  This can mistakenly be one of the most unwanted accessories to the interior decorator of a household even when a thorough whole house audio system is in place.  Also, there are so many choices out there that it can be difficult to determine what is the right speaker system for your Georgia home.  Hopefully, after reading this, you’ll see that there is something out there that can make everyone happy.

Enjoy the Summer Weather With an Outdoor Music System

Here we are once again, where the sunshine, the warmth, and pollen of spring is upon us.  I’m reminded of an obscure Eddie Murphy movie called Holy Man where he reminds the viewer that if we are lucky, we only get to enjoy 78 of these in our lifetime.  I believe that it is with this appreciation that we love improving our outdoor living spaces.  Many choose to go for the full monty, and install a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, fireplace, and all sorts of high end landscapes and lighting around their Buckhead, Georgia home.   Others only pick a couple of these, or just a back porch swing.  Regardless of your level of sophistication, what would your back yard be without music?!  For our clients that have great outdoor sound systems as part of their whole house audio, I always get the comment that this is their absolute favorite room of sound (then again, sometimes it comes in 2nd to the shower speaker).

To Buy a New TV or Not

To Buy a New TV or Not

Is your Georgia home ready to embrace the latest technology?

I was recently on a long drive with a friend, and he told me that he was still waiting to buy a new TV for his Georgia home because of all the new UltraHD stuff being ever-changing. I completely understand his position.  Embracing new home audio video trends can be risky. After all, millions of people were burned when they bought HDDVD players and then Blu-Ray made them obsolete, and now UltraHD had this major change you may have never heard of called HDCP 2.2 that made new TV’s tough to trust.

How to Gain Control of All Your Gadgets Through Smart Home Automation

Industry data out there says that you, the average consumer, will be purchasing smart devices of some kind soon.  This could be a new thermostat, or a wifi light bulb.  This new category of gadgets is projected to grow from $500 Million per year today, into a $2 Billion per year by 2017.

Use the Best Remote for Your Audio Video System

There are many elements to a great audio video system.  Of course, you need a big TV, quality speakers, and a great amplifier in your Milton, Georgia home.  But the most overlooked piece of equipment in the system is actually the most important, the remote control.   The remote control is the “brain” of the system that represents all the communication between you and your electronics.

Install Home Audio Video in Atlanta, GA Right the First Time

One day I was spending time with friends when one of them asked what she should do with all of the wires coming out of her wall.  She purchased a house in the Atlanta, Georgia area that was full of speakers, but the wires were just hanging there.  It occurred to me that this home audio video issue is something I have never discussed with my readers, but it happens all of the time.  There are actually several things for my friend to know, and the same goes for any of you with the same issue.

Add a Medical Alert to Your Security and Surveillance System in Buckhead, GA

I don’t believe there is anyone that hasn’t seen the early 90’s commercial for Life Alert, the Medical Alert system that acts as a “Panic” button for seniors.  While these systems work great (prolonging and often eliminating the need for a nursing home) technology has come a long way since 1990, allowing our parents and grandparents many more choices than this “As Seen on TV” system.  In fact, medical alert systems have become an entire industry, and the new products range from a new television to a smart home system!

Hire Someone Already

Hire Someone Already

Pay a Professional for a Home Theater Installation

Historically, homeowners have hired professionals for all sorts of things around the house that they couldn’t do themselves.  For example, I would dare to say 98% of homeowners in the Alpharetta, Georgia area have never tried to install their own heating and cooling system.  Likewise, this is the case for most electrical and plumbing work.  However, unlike these services, people have often thought they could handle everything related to TV. Well I’m here to tell you that it’s time to let that one go too and hire a professional for a home theater installation.  The funny thing here is that the man of the house somehow thinks he has to turn in his “Man Card” when he pays someone else to install his TV.  While funny, this is simply not true.

The Digital Music Age

How to Enjoy Whole House Audio in Your Georgia Home

Do you still buy CD’s? If you do, you are now the minority. Downloading music has now surpassed buying CD’s, and it is only expected to continue as whole house audio systems become more popular. The CD is slowly going away, just like the 8-tracks and cassettes of the past, and it is being replaced by downloads and mp3 players. You may not know it, but we are entering a new world of songs at our fingertips, and we’ve only begun to see how it will change the way we experience music.

AV Issues

On a daily basis, I find that my clients are upset and frustrated that they cannot fix the problems that arise from their TV and sound system.  They almost without fail remind me of the days where all you had to do was plug in an antenna and press power. While I completely understand this comment, it is actually much deeper than the surface statement.

Digital Home Health Care

When you think of the term “digital home health care”, what is the first thing that comes to mind?  Measuring heart rate or blood pressure with a monitor?  Maybe it’s having a fitness bracelet that lets you monitor how many steps are taken in any given day?  While both are innovative ideas that have gained popularity over the past several years, these are not the primary focus areas for the new age of digital home health care.

Wifi – The New “Water”

Today, wifi is considered just as important and standard as sinks and toilets.  If you don’t believe me, hang out with our company when a clients’ Internet goes down.  Let’s suffice to say that the family considers us heroes when they can once again access Google, Netflix, and Pandora.  Sadly, not many people know what is needed for rock-solid performance.  Is your wifi as high-quality and reliable as your plumbing?
